The only difference between pigs and dogs is the way we treat them. On factory farms, mother pigs spend their days and nights on the cold concrete floors of tiny metal boxes called "gestation crates" (or "farrowing crates"). The crates are so small that the pigs can't even turn around—but they spend most of their lives in there.
Pigs also have their tails cut off and their teeth ripped out, and they're castrated—all without any painkillers. It's wrong to do these things to dogs, and it's wrong to do them to pigs.
Think about it: If pigs said "woof"—would we treat them like this?
Pigs are the smartest animals on the planet besides primates. They're as smart as 3-year-old children, and pigs can suffer and feel pain just as we can. It isn't fair for them to live out their lives on factory farms, where they are denied everything that is natural and important to them—like rolling in mud, playing with their families, and basking in the warmth of the sun.
You can change all this! You can help pigs get better lives! Just sign the Woof Petition below to show that you believe that pigs should have the same protection that dogs have.

By signing my name, I am stating that I think pigs should have the same protection that dogs have and that they shouldn't have to spend their lives confined to gestation crates (farrowing crates). Pigs should not have their tails cut off, have their teeth ripped out, or be castrated without any painkillers.
