Smashing Pumpkins has been hailed as one of the most innovative and critically acclaimed bands of our time. They've sold more than 30 million albums worldwide, taken home a Grammy and MTV's Video of the Year Award, and we say they're the sh!t! Now lead singer Billy Corgan and former drummer Jimmy Chamberlin have shown compassion for chickens by signing our petition asking KFC to eliminate the worst abuses chickens suffer on the factory farms and in the slaughterhouses of KFC suppliers.
Our undercover investigators have documented that KFC suppliers cut off birds' beaks, cram birds into huge waste-filled sheds, and breed them to grow so large so quickly that their legs become crippled under their weight. At slaughter, their throats are cut, and they're dropped into tanks of scalding-hot water—often while they're still conscious. This contradicts KFC's claim that it "only deal[s] with suppliers who promise to maintain our high standards and commitment to animal welfare."
We've asked KFC to make simple changes to improve the lives of these birds, but so far, our requests in the U.S. have been ignored.
Please join Billy and Jimmy in the fight to help chickens. Pledge to boycott KFC by signing the petition below today!

Full Petition Text:
There is no excuse for the way that KFC treats millions of gentle birds raised and killed for its restaurants every year, especially now that the company that coordinates the purchasing of chickens for KFCs in Canada is implementing a historic animal welfare plan. I pledge to boycott KFC until it adopts strict animal welfare guidelines to prevent its suppliers' worst abuses of animals raised and killed for all KFC restaurants.
