Alison Sudol of A Fine Frenzy for peta2
I first became familiar with A Fine Frenzy's Alison Sudol
when she tweeted
about Canada's annual seal
Like millions of others, Alison was horrified to learn that the Canadian
government allows sealers to kill hundreds of thousands of seals for their
skins every year and was ready to leap into action! In addition to asking
her more than 1 million Twitter followers for support, the beautiful singer sat
down with peta2 to talk about why getting active for animals is important to
her and how people can help.
Fans of Regina Spektor and Sarah McLachlan will likely love
A Fine Frenzy's
songs, which range from bouncy piano-based pop to mellow guitar-backed ballads.
The Los Angeles–based singer-songwriter quickly captured the hearts of fans
worldwide with the release of her debut album, One Cell in the Sea, and promptly managed to blow the critically
acclaimed album out of the water with her anticipated follow-up, Bomb in a Birdcage. After sharing the
stage with legendary artists like Rufus Wainwright, A Fine Frenzy recently
scored a spot on the Lilith Fair tour, performing alongside other animal-loving
ladies like Cat Power
and Tegan and Sara. A longtime animal lover, Alison often performs songs with animal themes. For
instance, the song "The Minnow and the Trout" is about the
similarities all animals share, regardless of species. Check out Alison's new
peta2 interview and PSA. The message is so simple and so true—"a little
kindness goes a long way."
A little kindness

pledging to be an animal advocate!

I want to help animals by making compassionate choices and encouraging others to do the same. I will be the best guardian to my animals that I can by providing them with love, attention, and care and making sure that they are spayed and neutered. I will promote animal-friendly actions and always immediately report any animal abuse that I witness. By signing my name, I pledge to support and practice kindness to all animals, big and small.
