Urge Jimmy Choo to Ditch Exotic Skins!

Recent undercover footage [http://www.tagesschau.sf.tv/Nachrichten/Archiv/2010/10/06/Schweiz/Schockierende-Bilder-Schlangen-leiden-fuer-die-Luxusbranche?WT.zugang=front_na4] obtained by Swiss TV station Schweizer Fernsehen shows snakes as they are skinned alive and crocodiles, alligators, and other reptiles as they are bludgeoned to death with hammers before their mutilated bodies are thrown onto a bloody pile. This investigation mimics what was found in undercover investigations [http://www.petatv.com/tvpopup/Prefs.asp?video=cold-blooded_horrors_peta] in Indonesia and in the U.S. It can take hours for these animals to die. Although many people might not be as familiar with reptiles as they are with the dogs and cats they share their lives with, reptiles suffer every bit as much when they are beaten, abused, and killed.
A growing number of designers, including Stella McCartney and Marc Bouwer, have chosen to create wonderful work without using exotic-animal skins. After receiving video footage from PETA, several companies—including Nike (and its affiliate Cole Haan), H&M, Victoria's Secret, and Overstock.com—implemented policies banning exotic-animal skins.
Please take a few moments to urge Jimmy Choo to exclude exotic skins from its collections. A small amount of your time will make a huge difference for these animals who are too often forgotten.
