We tried being nice, but now it is time to pull out the big guns—or rather, the big birds! In the slaughterhouses of McDonald's U.S. and Canadian chicken suppliers, birds have their throats cut while they are still conscious, and many birds are immersed in tanks of scalding-hot water while they are still alive! A less cruel method of chicken slaughter is available. It would cost McDonald's nothing to demand that the company's suppliers adopt the less cruel method, yet the restaurant chain still has not done so. Instead of just crossing your fingers and hoping that McCruelty execs will change their torturous ways, tell McDonald's President Don
Thompson exactly how you feel by giving him a bird their suppliers can't torture: a digital one-finger salute! While this in-box flip-off isn't for everyone, McDonald's refusal to allow the chickens who are killed for its restaurants to "go toward the golden arches" in the least cruel manner possible does warrant a strong response. So, in support of chickens everywhere, put your e-finger up and let your hand do the talking!?
