Speak Up for Birds Caged in Noisy Hotel Foyer

PETA's Cruelty Investigations Department needs your help in aiding a group of small birds being used as a decorative prop in the foyer of the Costa Adeje Gran Hotel in Tenerife, Canary Islands.

Starting each day at around 9 p.m. when the little birds are trying to sleep in their covered cage, they are woken up and bombarded with music blaring from the nightclub in the foyer, where they are kept. The noise level is so deafening that the desk attendants are forced to put their fingers in their ears while answering the phones! The music continues until midnight. Being subjected to loud noises can only leave the birds stressed, frightened, and exhausted.

Hotel management has refused PETA's requests to move the birds to a quieter spot or to stop blasting music at night. Please contact management and politely but firmly ask that the birds be moved to a quiet location.
